  • TiAl4822 prealloy spherical powder

Currently, Sino-Euro Tech. has prepared TiAl4822 prealloy spherical powder. Fig. 1 displays the properties and chemistry of TiAl4822 powder. As for 15-53μm powder, Hall flow speed with 2.5mm calibrated orifice is 33.5 s/50g (26 s/50g for 45-106μm), and apparent density is 2.35g/cm3. Morphology in Fig.2 shows high sphericity and few satellites.

Sino-Euro has been focusing on Metal Additive Manufacturing Raw material, including powder and wire. Currently, there have been two Quality Management Systems AS9100 & ISO13485 in Sino-Euro to protect benefit of customers.Welcome to Xi’an China and our Booth in different shows.

  • New titanium beta 21S powder for AM

GKN Hoeganaes Specialty Metal Powders has added AncorTi™ Beta 21S to its portfolio of AncorAM™ powders for additive manufacturing. Beta 21S titanium (UNS R58210) is a high strength, heat treatable, metastable beta titanium alloy. It is designed with the purpose of improving resistance to oxidation and creep, along with enhanced strength and stability in elevated temperatures. This range of properties makes the alloy a perfect candidate to manufacture parts for aerospace, medical, chemical and marine applications. AncorTi™ Beta 21S is available in particle sizes optimized for Electron Beam Melting (EBM) and Selective Laser Melting (SLM) AM machines.

  • GE looks to add SLM Solutions to its Additive Manufacturing portfolio

GE has announced plans to acquire SLM Solutions Group AG based in Lübeck, Germany. SLM produces laser machines for metal Additive Manufacturing with customers in the aerospace, energy, healthcare and automotive industries. The announcement coincides with news that GE is also seeking a takeover of Sweden’s Arcam AB.

  • Ames Laboratory-developed titanium powder processing gains international customer base

Titanium powder created with Ames Laboratory-developed gas-atomization technology has hit the market. Praxair Inc. now offers fine, spherical titanium powder for additive manufacturing and metal injection molding of aerospace, medical and industrial parts. It marks the first time large-scale amounts of titanium powder are available to industry with a potential for low-cost, high-volume manufacturing.

  • Multistage Simulations of the GE90 Turbine

The high pressure turbine (HPT) of a modern turbofan engine must operate in an extreme environment of high temperature, high stress, and high speed. As such, it must be film cooled and designed for long life and high efficiency. The heat transfer design requires a detailed knowledge of the gas side temperatures. The low pressure turbine (LPT) is designed for very high efficiency and must be able to operate effectively behind the HPT. The requirements for both the HPT and LPT necessitate a detailed aerodynamic solution capability which accounts for the film cooling, multistage effects and variable gas properties.

  • 3D Printing Powder Market by Type (Metal, Plastic, Ceramic), by Application (Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Medical & Dental, Others), by Geography (North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, RoW) - Global Forecast to 2020

The global 3D printing powder market is projected to reach USD 636.9 Million by 2020, at a CAGR of 24.4% from 2015 to 2020. The growth of the market is primarily driven by the expiry of key patents for powder-based additive manufacturing in 2014 and increasing investments in research & development of powder-based technology.
